Three Planes, A Train, and a Ferry

I have officially made it to Macao. Here is a quick recap of how I got here.

Left Savannah , GA at 8:30am after my 7:25am flight got cancelled the night before. Landed in Atlanta and got straight onto my next flight to Detroit. I was lucky enough to sit next to two very nice women on both flights. The first was a woman from Germany who had worked in West Africa for a good part f her life, and the second woman was a self-employed financial planner who just so happen to feel that she should have been born in the South. We discussed how to make Sweet Tea and other traditional Southern food.

My layover in Detroit was about 2 hours so I got my last meal in the US. What did I get? A hot dog, fries and an apple. MMMmmm Once I made it to my boarding gate I got an awesome surprise. Jatana, who is also from USC and is studying in Macao, was there! Due to the major snow storm, her flights had been delayed and cancelled so she ended up on the same flight as me. I was super excited to see her because even though we both agreed that we could do the trip on ouw own, it was so nice to have someone else there who understood what we were going through and just so we didn't feel quite so alone.

Sigining off for now. Next pictures of stories of our journey from Detroit to Macao!
